In this study, it is analyzed whether human capital has some effects on regional economic growth. Education investment has been emphasized because it is an important source of forming human capital. More importantly, human capital can act as one of the main factors for economic growth. Human capital increases the productivity of labor, causes to have potential ability for new technology, and furthermore, supports economic growth. Here, endogenous economic growth model is applied to analyzing the role of human capital on regional economic growth. Panel data which cover 11 different regions is used. To consider regional characteristics and obtain more reliable results, fixed-effect model for the panel data is adopted. The empirical results show that human capital has significant effects on regional economic growth.
