The purpose of this study is to investigate the aspects of grammatical manifestations for subjective perspective in Korean grammatical constructions. Even though subjective perspective has not been a central issue in the accounts of grammatical constructions, I would like to emphasize its importance in explaining the subtle meanings and motivations for Korean grammatical constructions. The followings are discussed in this paper. First, the subjective perspective is divided into speaker’s and main clause subject’s perspective. Discussions for speaker’s perspective are made in terms of the focus on quantification and a negative or positive view on an event, while those for main clause subject’s perspective are made in terms of the subjective judgment for raised object and the co-reference of main clause subject with logophoric reflexives. Second, it is argued that the speaker’s subjective perspective is manipulated by the additional use of the noun particles for quantifier raising constructions and the applicative use of auxiliary verbs, while the main clause subject’s perspective by that of the alternative accusative markings for raised objects and the logophoric ‘caki’ reflexive markings in embedded clauses. Third, it is argued that speaker’s or subject’s subjective perspective gives us the new insights on the use of noun particles, auxiliary verbs, ‘caki’ reflexives in Korean grammatical constructions.
