This study was conducted to verify the efficacy of DWCF extending the scope of assessment as local, global, and mechanic errors. 69 beginning writers in the southern part of South Korea participated in the study, and 207 writing samples were analyzed. The results of this study indicate that DWCF is strongly affected by the instructional hour intervals either one week or one day. Instructional hour intervals make significant differences both in short and long period of task time favoring for summer session. Students from short instructional hour intervals show dramatic development in the areas of global, local, and mechanic errors when they were compared with their counterparts. To validate the findings of these results, relevant works which support or reject the findings of this study are presented along with the educational implication.
