King sejong led it, while participating in the world sect repairing and editing late authentic records, including the "History of Goryo." King sejong also edited "Geography - the eight provinces of Korea" and confirmed that Wusando island and Mureungdo island existed in original eastern sea. For the world sect, the rumorof the existence of Yodo island, in addition to these two islands, was unusual. I worked to confirm the substance of this rumor for 16 years but was unable to do so; this was, in fact, an accurate result, since Yodo island did not exist.
King Sejong ended the fruitless effort to identify Yodo island, but it was clearly confirmed that two islands called Wusando and Mureungdo existed in the original eastern sea. Therefore, the Korean dynasty is grounded on the recognized existence of two islands and should interpret the records of the original eastern sea based on both the Korean record and the “Geography of King Sejong.” I first interpret the “WusanMureung islands” as one island, not two, and then propose that the claim that early Korea did not know about the existence of Wusando island is inconsistent.
