Taekwondo is facing competitiveness due to fierce competition with various resources of internal and external of sport industry of Korea. To prepare the crisis, broa dand deep understanding and knowledge are required to the teenage Taekwondo athletes in Korea. However, practically the teenage Taekwondo athletes are too busy to take care of themselves due to training and school. So, the closest people who help them are parents. (Chung, Roh, 2016). For this reason, understanding how the Korean parents influence on their kids, underage Taekwondo athletes, have absolutely academic meaning in the view of the development and human resource management of Taekwondo industry. Therefore, the recent researches regarding Taekwondo has been focused on the Taekwondo Kyorugi (sparring competition) or Taekwondo Sibumdan (demonstration team) mostly, and Poomsae (posing). With this reason, the first purpose of this research is to analyze the process of teenage Taekwondo Poomsae athletes decision making for their Poomsae career and the influence of their parents on the decision with a narrative inquiry. Second purpose is to suggest several proposals that can contribute to the development of Poomsae and make more balance ddevelopment of the Kyorugi, Sibumdan and Poomsae. To accomplish the purpose, several research subjetcs were recruited and the research results were as follow; first, their first step to Taekwondo started without any recognition on situations. Second, the decision making of their athletic career for Poomsae was not easy and was the strategy to enter college. Third, they selected their parents as their helper. They thought theyd id this whole process by their own judgment. We expect this research could be a theoretical basic for the development of Taekwondo industry in Korea, especially in the side of human resource management.
