The purpose of this study is to validate a self-regulation scale to be used by parents with young children aged from 0 to 6 years. Young children from the ages 0 to 6 were recruited using a quota sampling method segmented by region and age based on national criteria. This research used data collected from 893 mothers of young children. The self-regulation measurement scale for young children was tested with Exploratory Factor Analysis. First, 96 questions were selected through a refinement process and the validity of the resulting self-regulation measurement scales was analyzed by age. Second, the Cronbach’s α coefficient was used to calculate the reliability of the self-regulation measurement scale. The results showed that the reliability of the entire age groups was distributed between .97 and .98 and that the reliability of the sub-factors was distributed between .94 and .99.
