The aim of this paper is to explore the globalization of the Korean cultural education and the use of Talchum (a Mask Dance).  It is highly encouraging that Korean as a foreign language has made tremendous growth, and cultural education has been embedded in language teaching by extending its denotation and connotation.  In teaching cultural education, I asserted the effectiveness and importance of Korean classical literature in the previous research papers. The present study deals with the globalization of Korean cultural education in terms of Talchum, which is a Korean mask dance.  This paper is one of my studies on the application of classical literature. Discussion is summarized as follows.  Chapter 2 examines the globalization of Korean cultural education and the application of classical literature. Chapter 3 investigates practical implications on Talchum for Korean cultural education, and the application of Talchum is discussed based on the characteristics of its genre. In chapter 4, Korean cultural elements in terms of Talchum are examined, which consist of folklores, proletarian literature, satires and wit, divinity, mass communications and cultures of conservative families. Lastly, chapter 5 deals with the globalization of Korean cultural education by using Talchum to  focus specifically on curriculum development, experiencing Korean culture, cultural contents, translation with modern language, performance of Korean traditional arts, and UCC advertising.
