During the cold war, political and military confrontation in the Northern area of Eurasia has been evident, but the dissolution of the Soviet Union in the 1990s encouraged economic relations among countries in this region. Since the Northern Eurasian region is the peripheral region, far away from the core of the countries involved, regional development has relied on its neighboring countries rather than central government. Several policies proposed by the certain governments such as the 'One Belt and One Road Policy' of China, 'New Eastern Policy' of Russia and 'Eurasia Initiative' of Korea have increased the possibilities of developing the Northern region. This paper aims to analyze and evaluate the potential of Eurasian Northern logistics markets while focusing on the policies proposed by the governments of the region. The evaluation of Eurasian logistics markets was undertaken in terms of regional development policy, economic situation, logistics infrastructure, institution etc., analyzing freight time, rates and routes. Plans to increase northern logistics including secure politics, trade and investment, logistics infrastructure development and institutional improvement are suggested. The development of northern logistics markets would contribute to the entry of businesses into the northern continent thereby enhancing economic cooperation and ensuring peace and security, especially in the Korean peninsula and in Northeast Asia as a whole.
