A new bicolor standard rose(Rose hybrida Hort.) cultivar Honey was developed from a cross Berona and Feeling followed by seedling and line selections at the Flower Breeding Research Institute, Gyeongnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services(ARES) in 1999. Characteristics were examined three times from 2000 to 2003. It has characteristics of red-purple group color(RHS No.68-B + 69-A), few thorns, high yield, and standard large flower. The ray floret and flower center were harmonized well, and the vase life was 8.9 days. This cultivar was registered as a commercial cultivars in 2003. It will be able to be planted in any greenhouse production region in Korea.
