a new ivory white colored standard rose(Rosa hybrida Hort.) cultivar “Nina”was developed at the Floricultural Experiment Station of Gyeongnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services(ARES) after seeding and line selection in 1997, and its characteristics were examined three times from 1999 to 2001. “Nina” crossed between Sonia and “Feeling” has a white-group color (RHS No.155-B), sweet fragrance, and large flower with good harmony between ray floret and flower center and vase life of 10 days. Registered as a commercial cultivar in 2002, this new cultivar can be planted in greenhouse of almost all production area in Korea and will be released to farmers in 2003.
