Various kinds of paper cultural heritages are designated and managed with at the national level. These paper cultural heritages are easily affected by external environmental factors such as temperature and humidity. Also, they can easily be damaged by physical forces. For repairing of damaged cultural properties restoration paper uses traditional Hanji made of mulberry fiber which has excellent quality and excellent preservation. So, we have making forty eight kinds of Korean paper which is for each making method. In order to prepare quality standards for restoring Hanji, various characteristics were evaluated. First of all, I was able to confirm the change of the characteristics of Hanji according to each production method. As a result, the traditional Korean paper making method, Korean mulberry and natural ash, showed the best characteristics, but the difference by the dispersant did not show a big difference in all the paper conditions. In the future, we plan to measure the material stability of Hanji through further deterioration experiments.
