The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy for group work and intercultural competency among nursing students. The participants were 327 nursing students from three universities. Data collection was conducted from March to May 2019, using structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed using independent samples t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and regression analysis through the IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 Program. The average self-efficacy for group work and intercultural competency scores of the participants were found to be 3.80 (out of 5) and 4.09 (out of 5), respectively. The relationship between the two variables was r=0.606 (p<0.001). The regression analysis showed that intercultural competency could explain 41.5% of self-efficacy for group work. Conflict management, respect, communication, and reflection of sub-factors of intercultural competency were all significant factors for self-efficacy for group work. Therefore, intercultural competency was identified as a major affecting factor on self-efficacy for group work among nursing students.
