Today, physical appearance is essential. Women in their 20s are highly interested in appearance and are engaged in various activities to improve their looks, compared to others in their age groups. To find out their appearance-awareness and their behavior in appearance management, a nationwide survey of women in their 20s was conducted. A total of 284 responses were analyzed. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Women in their 20s recognized their appearance management positively as the overall average is 3.74 out of five points. 2) Makeup was at a high level as the overall average is 3.54 out of five points. Women who have a higher awareness of appearance management than those who have lower awareness started wearing makeup at an early age. Also, women with a high awareness of appearance management took from 20 to 30 minutes or 30 to 40 minutes to do their makeup. 3) Women in their 20s valued the duration and cost of spending on beauty treatments, plastic surgery, and skincare. These results would help develop a marketing strategy within the industry related to appearance management, which is mainly targeted at people in their 20s.
