This study conducted a comparative research on isokinetic muscular function and dynamic balance ability of mid-aged premenopausual women in accordance with the bone mineral density. The subject of study were 2 groups(normal, thinning bone or osteoporosis group) of premenopausal women(±), each group containing 10 patients. The analysis result of body composition, strength of lower extremity and dynamic balance ability is as below.
There was no significance difference in all sections of body composition in accordance with bone mineral density, but compared to the normal group, the thinning bone or osteoporosis group had 2% less in muscle, 21% in body fat, 3% in lean mass, 10% in BMI, 11% in body fat. And as the result of analysis on strength of lower extremity, the peak Torque(N-M), Peak TQ/BW(%) of arm strength (flexion) and peak Torque(N-M) of arm strength(Flexion) had significance difference, but as for the dynamic balance ability, there was no siginificance difference between the right and left. However, the left dynamic balance ability of thinning bone or osteoporosis group was about 23% lower than the normal group.
As a conclusion, it was confirmed that the bone mineral density affects the difference in body composition, strength of lower extremity and dynamic balance ability. It implies the necessity of prevention and improvement of modifiable elements among bone mass component elements in order to prevent the osteoporosis.
