Microplastics are considered to be small plastic particles (< 5 nm). Because of their small size, the environmental issues of microplastics are considered much more difficult to manage than the larger plastics. Stone cell in pear fruits is expected to replace microplastics. To select wild pear contained high level of stone cell, distribution and contents of stone cell were analyzed using three Korea native pears during immature and mature stages of pear fruits. The distribution of stone cell in pears was measured using the phloroglucinol-HCl (Wiesner reagent) and the content of stone cell was carried out using frozen-HCl treatment.
