This study investigates the construct validity of measures of musical self-efficacy(MSE) scale with the data collected from the sample of 700 university students with the convenience sampling, Seoul, 2019. The study uses the Multitrait-multimethod (MTMM) which is used to investigate convergent and discriminant validity of the MSE scale by comparing the Academic self-efficacy scale.
Results indicate that the MSE has adequate levels of convergent and discriminant validity as well as a robust internal consistency(Cronbach’s ⍺). Further validation studies on the MSE scale are needed to expand its generalizability.
