Long snouted bullhead is a large fish species of the Korean bullhead family, and was commonly inhabited in the Geum River, Han River, and Imjin River in Korea. However, there has been no fishing record since the 1970s due to indiscriminate capture, habitat destruction, and water pollution. For the restoration of long snouted bullhead, long snouted bullhead from China was imported in 2000 to produce the first generation (F1), and F2 was produced in 2004. Since 2007, it has been steadily conducting a fry release business in the middle stream of the Geum River, and it is being steadily recaptured from 2017.
