The sentence of adjectives and adjectival nouns which represents evaluation and judgement for third party has the following characteristics. Firstly, the sentence of adjectives and adjectival nouns which has its subject of third party pronoun like 「he(kare)」 and 「she(kanojo)」 has rare usage of polite expression and it mostly uses adjectives which represent positive meaning. Meanwhile in a normal sentence, it uses both positive and negative meaning. In addition, the sentence of adjectives and adjectival nouns which represents its appearance has no case of sample sentence for Japanese native speakers, namely it is mostly used in exemplary cases for translation. Secondly, in case the sentence of adjectives and adjectival nouns that has its subject of proper noun which represents the name of person, it has more examples of use in honorific sentences than in non-honorific ones. The sentence of adjectives and adjectival nouns which has an honorific subject uses only adjectives which have positive meaning. Namely, in relations which use an honorific, it is known that it does not evaluate and judge about its attributes of the third party, negatively. Lastly, an interrogative sentence which requires evaluation and judgement for the third party’s attributes to [from?] other party has rare use of samples in general regardless of its politeness. In addition, there are many cases of expression for saying hello about the third party such as “Is he OK? (daijobudesuka)” and “How is he doing? (ikagadesuka)” and there are no cases of expression for the speaker to ask his appearance or comparison with the other person. Therefore, the sentence of adjectives and adjectival nouns in Japanese which tells evaluation and judgement about the attributes of the third party has difference of usage according to the degree of intimacy among the speaker, the listener and the third party. In case of a low degree of intimacy, it uses adjectives which have mainly positive meaning and it rarely uses expressions which require evaluation and judgement about the attributes of the third party from other party.
