Cultured meat is artificial meat obtained by cell culture based on cell engineering technology without unethical slaughter. High production costs due to excessive use of animal-derived serum are putting the brakes on the popularization of cultured meat. Herein, we report on a strategy to develop eco-friendly cultured meat based on myoblast sheet containing fish gelatin microsphere (GMS).
