Pupose: The major objective of this study is to research and review differences in safety awareness, safety culture and quality of life based on socio-demographic characteristics; to analyze and identify relations among safety awareness, safety culture and quality of life; and to provide the results from the variables as a model to verify mutual suitabilities. Methods: In order to conduct this study, the apartment residents of Seoul Metropolitan City were selected as participants for about 30 days, from May 1st to May 30th 2016. Then 'random cluster sampling' was used to distribute a total of 500 questionnaires, of which 486 were collected and 457 were utilized for final analysis. Conclusion: First, safety awareness influences the safety culture. It means that higher the safety awareness, the more likely that the safety behaviors and the expertise of managers increase. Second, safety awareness influences the quality of life. Third, safety culture influences the quality of life. Fourth, safety awareness, while it has indirect influence on the quality of life through safety culture, it does not directly influence the quality of life. Safety culture has proven to be a significant factor affecting the quality of life of apartment residents.
