The repetition discussed in the art is focused on reproducing. The subject of art and consumption were subverted byan appearance of the mass consumption society related with the Industrial Revolution. Under the this background, artistsrecognized repetition through reproducing and critics expressed the art theory shown in the age of the Industrial Revolution. Especially in minimalism and pop art. Repetition of the surface was categorized by three, first repetition of images, secondrepetition of materials, third repetition by use of patterns. The first two items were analyzed by comparing the pop art andminimalism, but the above discussion was limited to describing repetition of the patterns. To analyze the repetition of thepattern need research the history and types of pattern and deeper meaning contained in it. In conclusion, the repetition ofimages of the surface communicate with people that recognize the surface as a canvas. Also Repetition same materialsmaximize the properties of the material by repetition. Repetition of the pattern was symbolistic and ornamental that was as oldas history. General, the modern building shown in the repeatability of the modern architects of their own identity and values inthe cortex tend to be viewed as a new expression, and it reflects the characteristics of modern society and it can be called. Repetition of the pattern was symbolistic and ornamental that was as old as history.
