This study sought to analyze the stories of the sports activity experience of the intellectually disabled during the COVID-19 period, examine the problems of the sports activity environment of the disabled and provide empirical data so that the disabled can maintain a healthy life. The research method used a narrative method, and three subjects were selected to consist of a person with mild intellectual disabilities, his mother his, and his teacher his at a religious facility. Data was collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation methods during the COVID-19 period of about 2 years and 4 months from January 2020 to April 2022, and the collected data were analyzed by classification analysis and domain analysis, and the derived results are as follows. The intellectually disabled person who participated in this study entered a life that he had never experienced because of COVID-19. Since then, the uncertain situation of COVID-19 has restricted his sports activities and left him to keep having expectations and frustrations about his sports. In addition, the subject, in the COVID-19 period when regular sports activities were difficult, continued new exercises by using the sports facilities run by his parents. Many sports activities were suspended during the COVID-19 period, but as he found the exercise programs that were conducted during that period, he was provided with a new sporting opportunity. As he experienced the corona pandemic situation for more than two years, expectations and concerns arise about how he will continue his sports activities as a disabled person in the “with corona era.”
