This article analyzes the new nationalism of Putin and the problem of Russian family policy in modern Russia. The article"s focus is in-depth interviews of Russian researchers.
The purpose of the article is to analyze the Russian family policy of Putin"s regime. The basis of the article is Russian researchers who study family policies and family problems in Russia. The author, using the method of the Interview, analyzes the problems of Russian family policy in particular Putin"s.
There are many Russian studies about family policies and the transformation of family values in Russian society. Progressive Russian academics in this field criticized the policy regime, based on nationalism and (neo)traditionalism under Putin"s government. The Russian Researchers discussed why there is that a correlation between (neo)traditionalism and family policy in Russian society.
Actually the concept of family policy under Putin"s government prefer the traditional model of family as the ideal model. Therefore, this family policy choses the birth encouragement policy to encourage population growth. So Putin"s policy for family is called Pronatalism.
But the Russian Researchers as the interviewee criticized the nationalism of Putin"s family policy and his policy in conservative Russia. So research showed that his policy is unsuitable to resolve family issues in modern Russia. It is necessary to develop a balance between work and family life. Because nowadays in Russian society it is not easy for the younger generation to keep their job and family.
