Objectives: The aim of this study was to divide the problems of the tobacco cessation services into before and after COVID-19 and examine the sustainable tobacco cessation services after COVID-19 through a literature review method. Methods: This study used the literature review method in the entire process. The scope includes domestic and academic papers, research reports, seminar materials, and other newspaper articles. Results: We found the problems with tobacco cessation services that stand out before COVID-19 including the lack of standardization guidelines, the capability of service providers and the absence of linked community services. And problems that stand after COVID-19 include the lack of an independent smoking cessation service system, non-reflection of today’s smoking patterns, and limitations of face-to-face oriented services. The direction to examine of those problems was to establish an independent system and redefine roles to optimize functions, strengthen service providers’ capabilities reflecting smoking trends, convert to ono-face-to-face services, and derive plans to connect services within the community. Conclusion: This study can be used as basic data for non-smoking support projects in local communities that have changed since COVID-19. Furthermore, it is expected to provide practical measures that can be applied to sustainable tobacco cessation services in the future.
