Purpose: This study about interactions provided by parents play an important role in the child’s growth, and parents of children with developmental disabilities have a hard time figuring out how to interact with their children. Therefore, The purpose of this study is to implement a parental education program for parents of children with developmental disabilities to improve parent-child interactions and have a positive effect on parenting attitudes. Methods: Children with developmental disabilities and their parents participated in the study. Parental education sessions were carried out once a week for 8 sessions. Parental education includes an understanding of the normal development process, understanding of the child’s current level, strategies to promote interaction between children with developmental disabilities and parents, and provide weekly video feedback. Results: It was found that education about normal development had a positive effect on parenting attitudes and interactions of parents of children with developmental disabilities. Conclusions: The effect of parental education is necessary for parents of infants and toddlers. In particular, education about normal child development is important for parents of children with developmental disabilities.
