This study analyzed the relationship between hs-CRP level and blood sugar-related indicators in 2,280 non-diabetic shift workers using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. As a result of the study, FBG and HbA1c, which are blood sugar-related indicators, increased as BMI increased, and hs-CRP showed the highest level in the obese group. In addition, as a result of identifying the level of hs-CRP and confirming the relevance to blood glucose-related indicators, It was confirmed that as hs-CRP increased, FBG and HbA1c increased. Even after adjusting for related variables, as hs-CRP increased, FBG and HbA1c increased statistically significantly. As a result, obesity, hs-CRP, and blood sugar related indicators were correlated, respectively. Among shift workers without diabetes, hs-CRP increased due to an inflammatory response due to obesity increased insulin resistance, a major cause of diabetes, so that FBG, a blood sugar-related indicator, and FBG, a blood sugar-related indicator, increased. It is considered that HbA1c increased statistically significantly. Therefore, even for shift workers without diabetes, efforts should be made to reduce inflammation and diabetes through early management to prevent obesity through proper eating and regular exercise.
