The purpose of this paper is to examine the cultural characteristics of the taz with a focus on funerals. Funerals are usually held for three days, but not more than seven days. The main rituals on the first day of the funeral included to put the body in a chishiinjeba, bathing and tying arms and legs with strings, offering food and offering sacrifices, covering the face with a towel, and placing coins on the corpse. The main rituals on the second day of the funeral include clothing for the deceased and sobo ritual. The main rituals on the third day of the funeral include the ritual of rubbing the face with oil, taking out of the body from house, the put a corpse in a coffin, the cleaning of the tomb from the burial place, the sacrificial ritual in front of the tomb, the incineration ritual, the homecoming ritual, and the communal meal. In the funeral ceremony of the taz various layers of ideas from different eras such as the soul view, the universe view, and patriarchal Confucianism are mixed and fused. In addition, the ideas of the adjacent tungus, chinese, manchu, and russian are mixed and fused to form a middle-level structure.
