Through literature analysis and expert interviews, this paper attempted to study the impact and current situation of economic cooperation between China and Russia after the Russia-Ukraine war. Western economic sanctions against Russia have strengthened the interdependence of markets and trade between Russia and China and made the two countries promote economic cooperation that compensates for each other"s weaknesses.
If Western economic sanctions against Russia continue, complementary economic cooperation between the two countries is expected to be strengthened, but their economic collaboration is also limited. Many Chinese companies are cautious about new investments in Russia due to trade and supply chain links with Western advanced countries. And the current increase in Russian consumers" purchases of Chinese products is a phenomenon caused by the decrement of high-end products supply from famous companies in the advanced countries. Therefore, Chinese companies’ high-end products marketing ability in Russia"s online and offline domestic market will determine whether Chinese companies continue to increase their market share in Russia.
