The purpose of this study is to find out the order of noun modifiers between Chinese and Korean. This paper examines the distribution and frequency of appearance of noun modifiers in Chinese and Korean, discusses whether there are common rules that exist in word order, and analyzes and contrasts the word order characteristics of noun modifiers in Chinese and Korean.In order to overcome the limitations of research by researcher intuition, Mo Yan‘s novel 『蛙』 and the korean translated novel 『개구리』 were selected to build a Chinese-Korean parallel corpus. To analyze the frequency in the parallel corpus and to find out the aspects of them with the method of quantitative analysis. The frequency table of noun modifiers was prepared using quantitative methods by extracting examples of noun modifiers from Chinese parallel corpora, and the distribution and word order characteristics of noun modifiers in both Chinese languages were revealed.According to combination constraints, noun modifiers are divided in six types, Looking at the characteristics of the distribution of noun modifiers, the ratio of one modifier is the highest, and the frequency of appearance of three or more modifiers is extremely low. In addition, indicators, rhetoric, noun forms, adjectives, verb forms, and modifiers representing ownership relationships are all located in front of nuclear nouns and modify or limit nuclear nouns.This paper presented the distribution of noun modifiers and statistically verified the word order principle of language typology based on this. In other words, except for rhetorical modifiers, both Chinese and Korean noun modifiers show the same word order characteristics.
