This study aims to investigate the operation status of indoor pet-friendly malls and develop guidelines for operating mixed-use shopping malls that can accommodate the increasing pet market while ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for both pet owners and non-pet owners. The scope of the research covers three indoor mixed-use shopping malls that allow pets, with a focus on pet dogs, which are the most commonly kept pets. The analysis framework for the study is based on the three elements of facility management: People, Place, and Process (3P). This includes standards for pet entry, physical aspects of the space, service aspects, and operational management. The study employed various research methods, including online surveys and field surveys, to gather multifaceted and detailed information. The criteria for pet entry are based on the type, size (weight), vaccination status, and mode of transportation. The physical aspects outline the standards for each area of the mall. The service aspects describe the necessary services from the consumer's perspective. The operational management section details the necessary contents for operating and managing the mall from the operator's perspective. In the future, there is a need to establish more detailed and practical guidelines tailored to the reality of indoor commercial and public spaces that allow pet dogs to enter.
