데노수맙(denosumab)은 2013년 미국식품의약청(U.S. Food and Drug Administration, FDA)으로부터 골 거대 세포종(giant cell tumor of bone)에서의 사용을 허가받은 이후 수술 전에 사용하거나 수술이 불가능한 경우에 적용하고 있으며 그 효과, 부작용, 그리고 데노수맙의 사용 중단 등에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이에 저자들은 골 거대 세포종에서의 데노수맙 사용에 대한 현안들에 대해 알아보고자 한다.
