The LWP Center (Live-Work-Play) theory integrates housing, work, and leisure facilities in one area or space, which can have a positive impact on various aspects of daily living, work, and play in close proximity. To analyze the data, we first present the criteria for Small and medium-sized cities and depopulated cities. Second, we examined the current state of work styles by looking at the concept of closer distance of residence and work and the use of smart work due to changes in lifestyle. Third, we considered the connection between Seoul and small and medium-sized cities using transportation. Fourth, by analyzing the distribution of POIs corresponding to Live, Work, and Play in the "LWP Center" theory, we derived urban spaces with more potential when LWP Centers are installed for the purpose of urban regeneration. This paper aims to analyze the relationship between closer distance of residence and work and urban growth through the positive impact of installing LWP centers in cities experiencing population decline, which is one of the causes of decline in small and medium-sized cities in Korea, and to analyze the feasibility of selecting locations for LWP centers that can be expected to regenerate cities.
