This study aims to investigate the utilization experience and perception of ChatGPT among dance major college students. To achieve this goal, a survey was conducted with 223 dance major college students, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0 statistical software. As a result, more than half of college students majoring in dance knew ChatGPT, but more students had no experience in using it. The reasons for students who did not have experience using it were "because they did not feel the need for it", and the students who had experience using it tended to use it mainly in "Korean" for "tasks", "sometimes when necessary". In addition, students who had experience using ChatGPT were generally evaluated as the average level, but concerns about its reliability were highlighted as they had high experience of false answers. Next, the perception of college students majoring in dance showed the results of the average level in all overall perceptions such as interest, rejection, and anxiety about dance using ChatGPT. This is interpreted as a result of the lack of in-depth experience in using ChatGPT, and a clear perception has not been formed. In addition, "yes" was the highest in response to future intention to use, but the ratio of "not sure" was also high, confirming that there was a moderate attitude. Therefore, dance majors" experience in using ChatGPT is low, and the perception of use can be concluded to be compatible depending on the situation. The results of this study confirm the possibility of using ChatGPT and dance art, while also adjusting the attitude toward the convergence of ChatGPT and dance, and suggesting the importance of learning opportunities.
