Since the Pierre de Coubertin mentioned Olympism in 1894, Olympic education has promoted by various actors. In 2007, IOC launched Olympic Values Education Programme(OVEP) with Teaching Values: an Education Toolkit. Specifically, OVEP highlights core value of Olympism by introducing five educational themes such as Joy of effort, Respect for others, Fair play, Pursuit of excellence, Balance between body, will and mind. Yet, Olympic education is criticized by lacking of agreed definition, concrete contents and pedagogy. Thus this research aims to conduct an exploratory analysis on Olympic education based on education goal, content, and learning domain in order to figure our factors concerned with education goal, content, and learning domain. This study utilize qualitative research method. The data is collected by systematic literature review and collected data is analyzed by content analysis. A categorization and itemization is conducted for drawing final outcome. The result was as follows. Regarding education goal, the goals of Olympic education program were aligned with OVEP’s. Yet, some programs included their own philosophy by considering local context such as Asian values or Taiwanese geopolitics. Also there were programs designed to solve social problems such as domestic conflicts. Contents of Olympic education were also coherent with OVEP’s. However specific programs implemented by focusing more than one contents. For instance, a program’s content was gender issue from the perspective of respect for others as well as fair play. Lastly, majority of Olympic education was done related with kinaesthetic and cognitive domains rather than affective domain. Hence, future research is expected to study on Olympic education goal by considering local contest, content by harmonizing each factors, and pedagogy by considering three main domains of physical education.
