The purpose of this study is to improve the legal system for the systematic fostering of domestic sports companies, which is the main policy goal of the mid-long term development plan of the sports industry established by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2018. The policy goal of fostering domestic sport enterprises is to reduce the proportion of small businesses and to produce many strong SMEs. The method of study is literature reviews, and the regulations related to sport industry promotion law were examined to derive the optimal legal system revision plan. After the review, it also presented the sectors that can be supported according to policy judgment without revision of related laws. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, it is necessary to prepare a legal system for implementing nurturing policies that can actively respond to changes in the sport industry environment. Second, it is required to improve the legal system that reflects comprehensive development support measures that encourage the growth of domestic sport enterprises. Third, there is a continuous need to improve the legal system that can reflect field requirements in order to strengthen the internal and external competitiveness of domestic sport enterprises.
