This study examined the relationship between the autonomy of Korean subsidiaries of multinational corporations and management performance and examined the moderating effect of digital capabilities held by subsidiaries. To this end, the management performance of local subsidiaries of multinational corporations was detailed into financial and non-financial performances, and the analysis was conducted on subsidiaries of multinational corporations entering the Korean market. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the autonomy of Korean subsidiaries had a significant positive effect only on financial performance among management performance. In addition, it was found that the digital capabilities of subsidiaries positively regulate autonomy for financial performance. These results show that autonomy of local subsidiaries of multinational corporations can be a

In addition, it implies that the digital capabilities of subsidiaries can complement each other along with the autonomy of subsidiaries in terms of financial performance. The results of this study suggest that the autonomy of subsidiaries not only plays a role in improving the financial indicators of Korean subsidiaries of multinational corporations but can also be a driving force for the autonomy of subsidiaries and digital capabilities to enable bilateral management.
