Two-wheelers play an important role in urban transportation, and their affordability and maneuverability make them popular all over the world. In particular, in Southeast Asia, two-wheeled vehicles are used as the main means of transportation rather than four-wheeled vehicles. However, despite this popularity, two-wheelers are often the main target of theft. According to the NICB, two-wheeler theft has been increasing every year, with a 7% increase from 2021 to 2022. Theft of two-wheelers can cause emotional distress as well as economic losses to the owner, and has a negative social impact. To tackle issues like these, not only two-wheeler owners, but also manufacturers, policymakers and local communities need to work together to come up with a comprehensive prevention strategy. This paper analyzes the risks and main factors of theft in two-wheelers, and presents an effective theft prevention/prevention system to minimize the risk of theft in electric two-wheelers from the vehicle manufacturer's point of view. This reduces the risk of two-wheeler theft and creates a safe two-wheeler environment.
