This study investigated the washing, sunlight and sweat fastness, and hair damage of hair dyed using Aplysia kurodai pigment extract and obtained the following conclusions. The dye ability of hair dyed with a mordant-treated dye showed a color difference compared to that of non-mordant treated hair. Color fastness according to washing showed color differences depending on repetition, and sunlight fastness showed the same pattern of color differences in color difference, brightness, redness, and yellowness. Sweat fastness following repeated immersion, the color difference increased in alkaline sweat, and the color difference in acidic sweat maintained a certain pattern, but it slightly increased in Cu and Fe mordants. The degree of hair damage was slightly higher in Al, Cu, and Fe mordanted hair than in non-mordanted hair. The elongation rate showed the greatest change with repeated exposure to sweat, and among these, Al mordant showed the greatest change. Aplysia kurodai pigment extract showed better dyeing properties using a mordant than without mordant, but the use of a mordant seemed to have some effect on washing, sunlight, sweat fastness, and damage. Therefore, there is a possibility of using it as a natural dye in hair dyeing using Aplysia kurodai pigment extracts, but it is judged that there are problems to be solved in terms of color change and damage.
