The countries in the world consider dumping as an unfair trade practice, and impose the anti-dumping duty to offset the dumping margin by enacting the Anti-Dumping Act in order to restrict such practice. The anti-dumping system is the only means of import restrictions that can be operated to protect local industries under the WTO system in reality, which incurs a great deal of expenses during the investigation process even once a charge of dumping is filed and brings about considerably destructive effects on the industry depending on the result. China, in particular, is utilizing the anti-dumping measures actively to protect its local industries, and such restrictive measures are leading to the measures for imposing the import restrictions on Korean products. Thus, Korea is currently marked as a country with the highest rate of being filed anti-dumping lawsuits by China among its trading partners. Especially, since Korea has been in the black from trading with China continuously thus far and it expects to make a trade surplus continuously for the time being in the future, Korea should pay keen attention to the anti-dumping measures of China and should prepare for such measures. Accordingly, this study aims to examine the measures for anti-dumping restrictions of China which became the largest trading partner of Korea, and to present the countermeasures of Korea through the overall analysis of such measures.
