This is the study on the reader's reading strategies in his reading comprehension process in this study, I tried to explain the conceptions, the types and the functions of the reading strategies.
The reading comprehension strategies are the cognitive and the metacognitive strategies in strategies' working The cognitive strategies worked in reader's reading process and made him read, comprehend, summarize and paraphrase The metacognitive reading strategies worked the readers' cognitive reading processes and made the readers check the reading process and strategies I uses, modify the readers' failures, and induce other strategies That is, metacognitive reading strategies participated and controlled the whole process of the reader's reading comprehension.
In everyday reading instructions, the reading texts and the reading teachers stress the importances of the strategy using acts hut do not provide the methods, the condition, and the measure of the strategies use in this result, the reading instruction emphasized not the methods of the reading texts but the texts' contents For the preferable reading instruction, reading education researchers must study and search the reading strategies' funtional processes, and explain the methods of teaching that processes.(Seoul National University)
