Generally the tendency of poem is to be long in 1950's. The purpose of this thesis is to discuss objectivity and ineralization of long form poetry in 1950's.
The Poets, Min Jae Sik and Shin Dong Moon. as their poem. very long and very emotional effect. Their poem have the epic objectivity which internalize in lyric style itself at that time. the 'epic' is not epic style but lyric style. So their poem have self-cofession discourse preferentially. At first 「the Atonment Lamb」 (속죄양) is formally a series of long form poem and it variate the Gospel of Mark V-4. representing Korea-War. internationally power-relation. It is showing youth's agony, resentment. Other words. this poem express not war situation or experience but poet's inner emotion, severe emotional cohesion.
This poem has intellectual lyricism which means internalization of objectivity. Then. it is primary sentiment that this poem achieves. First of all, the important thing is major tone of this poem. The accent of the poet is nihillism and resentment. It is not active but passivity of life attitude. so that the sentimentalism of lyric style is soft and mid-internalization of objectivity. This is different from the epic objectivity.
Long form poetry of Shin Dong Moon(「풍선기」) is allegoric and metaphoric by 'adballoon'. Shin become an issue daylity and describe it. The adballoon is a dream, nihillism and some ideal utopia of the poet. Recognizing meaningless of war, he reflective human condition with fling adballoon. But he find body and life through flying adballoon in compensation for rejecting knowledge and human being. He accept primitive and firm life that is very 'motherhood'. The adballooned body is expanded metaphor motherhood, universal law, universal recognition. This case is not different from Minis case. When sepeulativity achieved poetic body, poetic objectivity, it is necessary for it to have a symbolic medium. Otherwise, we can not avoid garrulity and intellective sepeculativity.
Finally, Shin and Min show objectivity in lyric style, but their methods are not the same. Shin shows with a symbolic medium, but Min shows intellective lyricism. Then they have something in common with each other that is very internalization of objectivity. Therefore, through their poems, we can conclude that poetic objectivity is represented in not only the epic style, but also lyric style.
Having the poem objectivity, it is not deviated from lyric style.
