Teenagers who are called "N-Generation" or "Screen Generation" live in all kinds of media developing in high speed from cradle to the grave. Their thinking and communication way is different from that of the former generation. Because we can meet all kinds of media in everywhere, it is said that modern society is "heaven of media" or "mass media age". The students can meet the world through media, play with media and communicate people all over the world through media.
Unlike other subjects, "Korean Education" is related to mass media in that we educate the language in media with the language. And Korean Education play an important role in not only Language education but also Culture education because our words and letters reflect the Korean culture. Therefore, various things happening in current society, or mass media age must be reflected in Korean education curriculum.
From now, I will talk about teaching about poetry as media in Korean class.
