The primary purpose of this paper is to describe the grammatical forms and the lexical forms of Gyeongbuk dialect in Hyeon, Jin-Geon’s novels and than the diachronic relation between the Gyongbuk dialect in Hyeon, Jin-Geon’s novels and this regional dialect of nowadays.
We can find out the grammatical forms and lexical forms of Gyeongbuk dialect in Hyeon, Jin-Geon’s novles. There are not so much the grammatical forms and the lexical forms of Gyeongbuk dialect in his novels. But these datum of Gyeongbuk dialects in Hyeon, Jin-Geon’s novels reveal the facts of Gyeongbuk dialects in those days. The great parts of grammatical forms and lexical forms in these datum are still in existence, but a part of these datum come into existence as the changed forms. The grammatical forms are changed ‘-ngyo’, ‘-ngabe’ of final ending and ‘-i’, ‘-ega’ of conjunctive ending in Gyeongbuk dialect of nowadays. The lexical forms are changed ‘beopsae’, ‘deukhi’, ‘ppangsoi’, ‘nunchi’, ‘heolmo’ in Gyeongbuk dialect of nowadays. There are a part of lexeme that are changed form ‘X+hada’ to ‘X+daeda/gerida’ by the method of word formation.
We can find out the grammatical forms and lexical forms of Gyeongbuk dialect in Hyeon, Jin-Geon’s novles.
