The purpose of this paper is to define Calvin's view of Christological Christian educational methodology through 'Humiliatio Christi' (Humiliation of Christ). More specifically, 'Humiliatio Christi' will be defined by systematic theology through a Reformed Theological view. 'Humiliatio Christi' is discussed and twostages of the state of humiliation are identified as the Incarnational stage and Christ's life of sufferings and his accomplishment of righteousness. Then Calvin's view of Christological Christian educational methodology is studied through Calvin: Institutes of the Christian Religion 1 and 2, The Library of Christian Classics, Volume XX (edited by John T. McNeiIl). Three possible educational methodologies will be discussed: the main constituent of Christian Education, the objective of Christian Education, and the methodology of Christian Education.
The term 'Humiliatio Christi' described in Philippians 2:6-8, "Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-even death on a cross!" has two essences: the kenosis, exinanitio and the tapeinosis, humiliatio. This is the hypostatic union of the divinitas and humanitas.
Based upon the systematic theological view of Christ's humiliation and Calvin's view of methodology of Christian education, three methods of Christian education are suggested: God's method - Accommodation, Christ's method- Humiliation, and the human method - Kerygma and Didache.
