Korean Society is aging rapidly. In 2000. Korea became the Aging Society as the percentage of the elder aged over 65 was 7%. As industrialized society, many korean families cannot manage to take care of their demented elderly. which become the serious social problems. Korean Government has prepared to set up Public Long-Term Care System Plan and made a few policy suggestions for the Elderly.
Korean Government should make the plan cost effective as much as possible. so to reduce the services is a right decision. However, Korean Church should focus on the christian care education of care managers and home helpers to maintain the qualities of the services. Some other policy suggestions are listed for the Elderly through Korean Church.
