The primary purpose of this study was to probe the relationship between job satisfaction and life satisfaction of Secretaries at Korean companies.
In order to meet this purpose, the following research questions were analyzed and these were: 1) relationships among personal characteristics variables, job satisfaction and life satisfaction 2) job satisfaction and its impact on life satisfaction 3) causal relationship among job satisfaction and life satisfaction.
The sample of this study were 110 secretaries of companies in Seoul. A total of 150 questionnaire were distributed and 110 questionnaires were used in the final analyses. The statistical method used in this research was SPSS 10.0 using reliability test, pearson correlation and multiple regression. The research findings was that job satisfaction was positively related to life satisfaction.
The major findings of this study are that it was found that existed significant causal relationships among job satisfaction and life satisfaction of secretaries.
Based upon these findings and within limitations of this study, it was concluded that job satisfaction would increase the life satisfaction, finally would influence individual's overall life satisfaction.
The implications of this study are the attempt to explore the relationship of secretaries' job satisfaction between life satisfaction by personal characteristics variables will increase the efficiency of HRM and quality of working life of secretaries.
