Daegeum sanjo of Lee Saeng Gang consists of 347 rhythmic patterns(JangDan) which are Jinyangjo 67, Jungmori 36, Jungjungmori 129, Jajinmori 115 rhythmic patterns, and 4 rhythmic patterns formality. This study is focused on composition of Jinyangjo scales and functions of notes in Daegeum sanjo of Lee Saeng Gang. On the basis of these, it analysed changes of tune. Rhythmic patterns may consider ♩.(6 beats)×4 for one rhythmic patterns, but in this study consider that ♩.×6 beats are one rhythmic patterns. Also basic unit beat is |♩. In addition, it draws out composition note based on phonetic value and end note according to frequency of appearance note which corresponding 1/3 beat more than ♪ phonetic value.
It notated based on real sound. Because basic Daegeum note was C contrasted in Daegeum sanjo of Lee Saeng Gang, C note was notation and adapted staff notation.
Jinyangjo consisted of 67 rhythmic patterns which consisted of B<SUP>♭</SUP> basic Oujo from 1 to 21, c basic Gyemyunjo from 22 to 47(26 rhythmic patterns), f basic Gyemyunjo from 48 to 53(6 rhythmic patterns), c basic Gyemyunjo from 54 to 56(3 rhythmic patterns), basic E♭ Oujo from 57 to 58(2 rhythmic patterns), from 59 to 67(9 rhythmic patterns).
1. Four changes tune which is B<SUP>♭</SUP> Oujo c Gyemyunjo, f Gyemyunjo, E<SUP>♭</SUP> Oujo, c Gyemyunjo in Jinyangjo of Oujo and Gyemyunjo were as follow:
1) Up to two major key scale proceed from B<SUP>♭</SUP> Oujo to c Gyemyunjo
2) Up to four major key note from c Gyemyunjo to f Gyemyunjo
3) Down to the four major key scale from f Gyemyunjo to c Gyemyunjo, that is c-f-c mutually scale change
4) Up to three minor key scale from c Gyemyunjo to E<SUP>♭</SUP> Oujo
5) Change the scale from E<SUP>♭</SUP> Oujo to c Gyemyunjo. finish the major note in c Gyemyunjo
2. Oujo is every single note not distinguished but equally appear, and Gyemyunjo is characterized in first note is vibrated and 5th note snap to the 4th note then down the 2 major key which is 3th note. Based on this study, Jinyangjo in Daegeum sanjo of Lee Saeng Gang changes 6 scales by composition note.
