This paper shall explore the origin of Prak Chung Hee’s era which started with 5·16 coup, prospered in October Dictatorial Constitutional Revitalizing Reform(YuShin) and finished at 10ㆍ26. This paper shall focus on the his experience of colonialism which is a main momentum of the his era. The purpose of this paper is to show the relationship between Park's inter outlook of the world which was formed through Japanese colonialism in Korea and the permanent dictatorship that he persue by pressure of the demand of democracy.
Although Park was a former president of Republic of Korea and an iron dictator, he had experienced as a student of the public common school of Japanese colonialism, a student of a teacher’s school, and a teacher of the public common school of Japanese colonialism, a student of Manchuria’s Army School, a student of Japanese Army School and an officer of Japanese Emperor’s Army. These experience had affected him to form his outlook of the world. He had already strongly anticipated Japan and Japanese Army and accepted with internalization the ideology of the militarism.
Based on these personal experience and acknowledgement, he started the 5ㆍ16 coup with the idea that the coup of Japanese in 1930s by young officers was the model of his 5ㆍ6 coup. He also made the Meiji Yushin be the model of the national reconstruction of Korea that he wanted to make after success of his coup. He regards the Meiji Yushin system under which all power was concentrated to the Emperor of Japan as the ideological political system. This made him an iron dictator of Korea with rejecting the western advanced democratic political system. As the Meiji Yushin was terminated with the vanished dream of the Japanese military authority in August 15. 1945., the Park’s Yushin system was terminated by just one ballot which targeted at the “heart of Yushin” that did not permit any of difference with the iron dictator.
