This study tried to examine preference of necessary properties to convert from vocational high school to specialized high school in the hotel & tourism. And this study conducted questionnaire survey of teacher, professor, employee in the hotel & tourism industry. The significant findings were as follows. First, the result of multiple response analysis about preference department in case of conversion from vocational high school to specialized high school, respondents preferred to departments related to tourism, hotel, eating out, and cuisine. Second, the result of MDPREF and multiple regression analysis about success factors in terms of switching into specialized high school, respondents indicated that the most ideal elements were 'cuisine/eating out' in promising fields, 'general tourism' of subjects, 'selection of specialty area to reflect the needs of the times' in prior conditions for specialization conversion, 'experimental/practical class' of teaching and learning methods. Third, the result of chi-square test and correspondence analysis among three groups about education direction after specialization showed that teachers seemed to have relationship with 'employment+entering a school of higher grade', whereas employees were related to 'employment'.
