The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of on causes, types, and action strategies of student with intellectual disability(ID) alienation in inclusive physical education classes(IPEC) of elementary school. Four students and two teachers in two IPEC were selected as participants for this study. Five times of in-depth interviews and eight times of observations were conducted for six months. It was showed that the major internal causes of alienation in IPEC were a lack of exercise experiences and communication skills, excessive dependent, and feeling of learned failure, and the external causes were a conventional limitation of school, prejudice of school members, indifference and reproach of teachers and peers without disabilities, competitive and play-oriented class climate, absence of instructional strategies, and inexperienced classroom management. In addition, the alienated students with ID used to certain action strategies such as hiding, onlooking, serving as a bridesmaid, and pretending excellent.
